Zoo

Grandma and Grandpa took Cooper to the zoo today while I ran around town with Maylea. It doesn't matter how many times Cooper goes to the zoo, he still loves the animals. He walked the whole time. They did not take a stroller with them. Cooper did really well in the begining and had a lot of energy. After about an hour he started to loose some of his spunk, but he never asked to be held.

Pretty girl

We were finally able to get a decent picture of Maylea when she was not asleep or squinting so I just HAD to put it on the blog!

While I was going through the file to fine the above picture I came across this one. The quality is not great because it was cropped, but she looks like she is in deep thought!!! Figured I would throw it in.

Sprinkler

Cooper had so much fun playing in the water yesterday that when we went to Kohl's today grandma had to buy him this little gadget that you hook onto the hose. Cooper had a good time!!!

The little hoses that are attached to the main hose whip around everywhere. It took Cooper a little bit to get used to the water hitting him in the face, but once he did he was all about getting in there.

Maylea is growing

I was watching Maylea sleep in her chair the other day and noticed how much she has grown. I remembered that I had taken a picture of her and put it on the blog so I wanted to take another and compare. This first picture was on the blog back on May 14th (random pictures). I am not sure when I took the picture. The second taken on May 29th. See if you can tell how much she has grown.

Cooper says more

Tonight as we had finished dinner, bath, and reading our bed time book, we were just hanging out in the living room unwinding from the day. Cooper was talking to grandpa who was sitting in his chair when grandma noticed that Cooper had his hand down the back side of his diaper (yes yes we are STILL in diapers). Grandma said, "cooper get your hand out of your bottom." Cooper pulls his hand out, looks down at his waist and says, "but grandma, I don't have any pockets."

Feeding the "gooses"

Cooper and I made a couple of trips to the park today. The first time we just played at the playground. While driving through the park to the playground Cooper spotted some geese in the water. He said, "momma, look at those gooses. Honk honk." I remembered how we used to feed the geese when we were little. I thought that would be something new for Cooper. After we played for about an hour, we left the park, had lunch at McDonald's, ran to WalMart, and headed home for a nap. Once he woke up, we popped some popcorn, and headed back to the park.

I was worried that Cooper would be scared or timid, but he jumped right in with two feet!!!

We had parked over at the playground and started walking until we found some geese. On the way towards a flock of them Cooper says, "mommy, look at the babies!!" You can't really see them (they were way out towards the middle of the pond), but I tried to take a picture of the LITTLE things. They were TINY!!!!

Once we found our spot, I guided Cooper through the process. I showed him how to throw it, and helped him lure the geese towards him. He was so excited and he did a great job feeding them. He never got scared even the littlest bit.

An airplane was flying over and distracted Cooper.
This guy did not seem very happy. I actually got a little nervous as he got closer and closer to Cooper. It still didn't bother him.

Once we were done with all the popcorn, we went back over to the park. Cooper wanted to play for just a little bit. This morning when we were there it was PACKED!!!! I think every daycare in town was there. Since it was less crowded, I decided to let him play again. This is a playground that we have been to many times before (on the blog as well). However, this is the first time that the water has been turned on for the kids to play in. Cooper normally runs all over this place to play, but not today. He was only interested in the water features and swings.....mostly the water.

When the sprinklers turned on all he wanted to do was run through them.
Maylea slept through both visits to the park today.

As we were getting ready to leave, grandma wanted a picture with her grandchildren. Cooper would not cooperate. He was pouting because he did not want to leave. He finally turned his head and very sadly said cheese.

Luke's birthday

To help celebrate Luke's 29th birthday, a group of us went to the WSU baseball game. The game was the Championship game of the conference tournament. The Shockers have not had a great year, so the fact that they won conference was quite a shock (no pun intended) to everyone.

Kevan (middle) said something funny before the picture....you can see that even Josh is laughing in the background.
Kevan had to make sure he got in the "family" picture.

After the game we went to Luke and Cori's house for some ice cream cake. I was just taking some random pictures and many of these were taken while Luke and Kevan were sharing a "drunk story" from the past. In a couple pictures you can see how animated the guys are in the story telling, and how hard people are laughing. Josh even commented later that he has heard the story about 3 times, but it is still as funny as the first time.
