Pumpkin Patch

Jana took the daycare kids to the pumpkin patch. They get to go on a hay rack ride, listen to the owner talk about how pumpkins are grown and what is in pumpkins, and then they all get to pick their own pumpkin. These are all pictures Jana took.

Jana's daughter gave her a hard time for giving Maylea boobs in this picture....oops!

WSU volleyball game

Friday night the whole family went to the WSU volleyball game. We had a good time....and they won in 3 sets. Joshua and I were especially happy that they won in 3 because we (I) forgot Maylea's cup at home and we knew if they went 5 we would not make it through the game.

Cooper has always been infatuated with WuShock and would pay more attention to where he was than what was going on with the game. WuShock finally got close enough that we could get a picture with him. Cooper was so excited!!! They were handing out volleyballs to the first 500 kids that night and Cooper was wearing his on his head.

Maylea 6 months

Joshua took Maylea in for her 6 month check up. With it being the end of volleyball season and having parent teacher conferences I wasn't able to take the time off to get to the appointment myself. I wanted to go since this was a new Dr., but it just didn't work out. This is how the appt. went.

Maylea (6 mo.) Cooper (6 mo.)
15 lbs. 13 oz. 50% 18 lbs. 12 oz.
28 1/2 in. long 100% (actually off the charts) 28 1/4 in.
16 in. head 10%

We have a very long and skinny little girl. He would like for her to gain some weight. She is healthy, but would like her a little heavier. She got 3 shots and did fine with them. She did not like her heart being listened to. Everything is developing fine. He said to start feeding her more stage one and stage two food and introduce her to finger foods. He said her head should start to round out (by 9 months) and we can expect that to get normal. I think the flat heads is something that is genetic the kids get from me (not that laying on their back didn't help). My head is VERY flat, but my hair covers it all up!!! She still needs 16-24 oz. of formula a day, but as we implement more and more cereal/food at each meal, she should begin to sleep through the night......we will keep our fingers crossed.

Josh liked Dr. Steward and said he felt he asked good questions and he didn't feel he was getting rushed out the door. We did look into getting a flu shot for her, but like many places they were out of them.

Happy girl

When Maylea wakes up she is the happiest little girl. Last weekend when I heard she was waking up from her afternoon nap, I grabbed my camera and headed up stairs to get her.

This first picture was a "sneak attack"

My favorite!

Monkey see, Monkey do

Anytime Cooper see me putting in my contacts he has to put his in too. This morning, I decided to get it on video.

Maylea playing

I got a couple videos of Maylea trying to crawl. I tried to get a little more out of her, but this is what I got. She wants to crawl so bad.....she gets better every day. I am more anxious for her to sit up on her own.

Let's Dance

Cooper loves the cartoon Phineas and Ferb. I was creating a play list on my Ipod for him to listen to while he takes his baths. While looking through the Itunes store, I came across this song and knew he would love it.

When I got home from work I told Cooper I had a surprise for him. I put the song on (our ipod dock is in the bathroom b/c I listen to while I get ready in the morning) and this is Cooper's reaction to hearing it.

You will see at one point that Cooper runs out to dance with his sister then back in. Eventually he will pump his head, but it doesn't stop him.....he keeps that leg going!
