Chuck E. Cheese's

As you have read (or will read) I bribed Cooper to smile for pictures with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's. It worked and so we all (me, grandma, grandpa, Aunt Cori, & Uncle Luke) went for lunch. We found a seat in the little kids area and Cooper was off. He had a blast and did a great job waiting his turn.

We all had a really good time watching him have fun. We will definitely go back when daddy can go too!

Many of the rides were single seats. However, this one had room for two. When I went over to take his picture, he looked at me and said, "momma, this seat is for Jackson." Jackson is Cooper's friend from Texas. It always amazes me how much kids remember!

Kids pictures (Cooper 3 yrs.)

I took the kids to get their pictures taken while here in Wichita. My original reasoning was to get Cooper's 3 year pictures. I had asked if I could get a couple of both kids together while we were at it, and part of the package was individuals of both and some shots together.

We started with individuals. There are only a few of Maylea. Smiling is still fairly new to her and after patty-cake about three times, she was done! Cooper did a great job. I had to "bribe" him to sit and smile. He is at an age that if he doesn't want to, he is not going to do it. I told him that if he were a good boy and smiled for the camera I would take him to Chuck E Cheese's. IT WORKED!!!! I don't even know how Cooper knows what that place is, but he was so excited and started telling me how he was going to drive the cars and ride the motorcycles when we got there.

There are SEVERAL shots of Cooper. I did not purchase all of these shot, but put them on here. I did have a difficult time deciding which pictures I wanted to get of Cooper.

Once it was time to take pictures of both kids, Maylea had fallen asleep and Cooper was done. We tried a few different poses, but he didn't want to take any more pictures. I am pleased with what I got. You can't have too high of expectations when you are working with a 3 yr. old and a 2 month old.

The disk came with my package, but the disk is formatted in a way that I can not do any editing (other than cropping and rotating) to the pictures. The shots that I did choose were a bit nicer, but these will give you a good idea of what we had to work with.

MY FAVORITE!!!

Maylea 2 months

On Monday, June 15th, I took Maylea in for her 2 month appt. She is getting so big. That day she weighted 11 lbs. 12 oz. (94%) and measured 23.5 in (97%) her head was 15 in. (46%) she definitely does not have her brothers head . At 2 months Cooper was 14 lbs. 13 oz. and 24 in. long.

She did get her two month shots, and handled them pretty well. She ran a fever and slept all day, but was fine the next day.

While I was taking pictures, Cooper wanted in on them too. I love how Maylea put her hand on him as to say, "get out of my pictures."

Sleeping in her bed

We have transitioned Maylea from the bassinet in our room into the crib in her own room. She has done a really good job. Most nights she will put herself to sleep (we might have to go in and put the pacifier back in). She goes to bed around 10 PM and will wake up between 3 & 4AM. After she eats she will sleep again until anywhere from 6-8 AM.

When she wakes up in the morning, we have pretty good routine. She eats, I take my shower, we play on the floor, and then she naps until about 10 AM. When she wakes she eats again, we play, I will let her have independent play time if she is having a good day, and then she goes down for her afternoon nap. She is more independent than Cooper ever was, so I am able to get more done at home with her.
